Sunny spells and generally dry by day over the weekend, with just isolated showers.

Temperatures around or just below normal with mostly light or moderate winds, so could feel chilly in the breeze. Next week will start off rather cloudy with scattered showers. However, drier conditions and more frequent sunny spells are expected to spread south and east across most parts by midweek. Thereafter, most places should see some fine, dry conditions with sunny spells. However, northwestern areas will become more cloudy with showers or more persistent spells of rain, and these conditions are then likely to spread over western parts later in the week. Similar conditions will persist into the following week with the most pleasant weather again likely in the south and east. Rather windy over eastern coasts at first and then in the northwest later in the period. Temperatures rather cool or near normal at first, but becoming warm in the south and east by the end of next week.
